Most of us want to be filthy rich and buy big mansions, expensive cars, have world-class vacations, but is it all worth it? I don’t really think it’s worth having so much even if one has the money to buy all that. With current world economy, especially in the US, money is tight right now. Most Americans spend money when they had none with credit, and hardly saved any money. Banks gave loans to buy houses to people, who didn’t have a decent income to pay for the loans, and now those loans are in default and the borrowers can’t pay and their credit reports are damaged. The credit damage goes hand-in-hand with with big losses by the banks. People who lived a simple life and didn’t get themselves into that mess don’t have to worry much.

I’ll go further in details in living a simple life later in this post but first I wanted to point out that I messed up with credit cards. I had credit cards in college and spent like an idiot and suffered for it. I learned that paying with just cash is the best. I learned that not having much and living simple is better than living with so much assets.

There is a saying, with more money comes more problems; however, that’s not always the case. It’s more like with more spending comes more problems. I remember I had a significant amount of debt, and I kept on spending even with the debt and it created more and more problems for me. I learned that it’s better to live below one’s means. For example if you have the money to buy a $500,000 house, don’t buy it. Instead, buy $200,000 house because it’s better and safer to have extra money around. Just because you have the money to spend doesn’t mean that you should spend it. Another example would be buying a car; what’s wrong with buying an economy class Toyota Camry over a luxury Lexus ES300? Absolutely nothing, because driving luxury cars is mostly about showing off. Luxury cars come with so much trouble if anything happens because everything is automatic, along with expensive maintenance.

The purpose of this post is not to refrain from living a comfortable life; I mean it’s OK to have luxury materials but don’t over do it. Most Americans over did it by spending beyond their means of affordability and now the American economy is suffering along with the economies of other rich countries.

What should you do with that extra money?
Well if you don’t want to be a shopaholic then save as much as you can. You never know when you need money for emergencies. You can save it either for unexpected emergencies or perhaps for a nice vacation, nice car, etc.

Living a simple life keeps one’s mind out of tension. With so much spending comes so many bills; no one has time to deal with all that. Taking 10 minutes to check up and pay off two bills is better than taking 1 hour of checking and paying off 10 different bills.

Another example would be, instead of buying a blueray player, stay with a high-definition player. You don’t have to buy the latest electronic devices on the market just because it’s new. When DVD players first came out in the late 90s, they were up to $600 or more, now you can get a DVD player for around $30 at Wal-Mart. Nowadays blueray players are well over $500, and some people will spend a fortune buying the player plus all the movie discs.

Hakuna Matata!
That’s what Timon says in the Lion King, which means have no worries for the rest of your days. I’m advocating that saying partially because you’re always going to have worries; however, if you live a simple life you’ll have less worries.

What is the law of attraction?
Most people should have an idea of what the law of attraction is. For those who don’t know, it’s a universal law that basically states “like attracts like”. I’ll go into details later in the post, but keep in mind that a lot of people don’t believe in this law and also, I have experienced it. There are a lot of things in this world which are mysterious and a lot that we don’t know. For example, the table of elements (you know that complicated chart in Chemistry class), still has elements missing from it such as the 113th element, it’s missing because no one has discovered it yet. Basically I’m saying that there is more to what you see and the law of attraction is one of them. The people who actually apply it to their advantage are the ones who experience happiness.

Getting into Details
The law is hard to absorb at first, but if you think about it slowly it makes sense. With the law there is a notion that you can have anything your heart desires. I know that it sounds lame and far-fetched but try to understand it first before making any judgments. One of the greatest factor about personal development is the law itself. A person can be and achieve anything he or she desires just by actually desiring it.

Visualize It
If you actually visualize what you want you can have what you want. It’s easy for our minds to wonder off sometimes because let’s face it, we’re not in kindergarten anymore so, we lost our imagination so we can’t really focused because we don’t have that visualization skills that we once had when we were young. The best thing to do is find something in a magazine or a picture on the web and use that particular image as a reference for our image in our mind.

There are so many quotes, in which we have heard of, that supports the law indirectly such as “seeing is believing” or “what the mind can conceive, believe, and achieve” by Napoleon Hill.

You Attract Everything
Whether you like it or not you attract everything in your life the good stuff and the bad. For example when you help someone, you feel good about it, and you label your self that you’re a good person because you’re very helpful so you expect help back. The saying “what goes around around, comes around” tells us that a good person attracts good things to him or her because of how he or she treats others well by doing good deeds.

Use It to your Advantage
The law is very powerful, you can use it to your liking to shape your life. If you want money, freedom, peace, you can get all that if you know how to apply the law to your life.

What you gotta loose?
I know a lot of you think this is a stupid idea and that it’s worthless. But you know what, what do you gotta loose? It is your belief and it does affect your life whether you like it or not. In future posts I will explain everything in detail step my step.

What do you guys think?

If you go into the corporate world you will see thousands of individuals who work in order to make a living. But they are not happy with what they do. I worked for a multibillion dollar company and even though I loved working there it wasn’t what I wanted to do all my life. My job was to coordinate records of people who had criminal records. I loved the job, it was very relaxing and the company treated us right. Every morning I would come in with my breakfast to my desk, and start the company program on my computer. While the program is loading I go to a music site and load up my playlist. I would eat, work, and listen to music all day. Sometimes I take a little break and get on YouTube to watch random videos and it was allowed by the company. My co-workers made a career out of this and they were happy, but I wasn’t. I wanted to do something meaningful that will benefit others at a greater degree. I wanted to help the helpless and by working at that job it’s not going to happen.

I jumped into the medical field because it’ll give me the authority and the power to help those in need. In community centers and other areas in my hometown in Atlanta, Physicians come to provide free healthcare to people who cannot afford to go to clinics or hospitals. These Physicians get the tax return of their patients and use it as a proof that the patients cannot afford healthcare. Hence, the Physicians treat them for free and write them free prescriptions to get their medications. That is the ideal career that I want to have. I want to have the power to provide free healthcare to those in need.

You should not commit your life to a job that you will hate and a job that will not satisfy you. Find a job that deals with work that you feel passionate about. For example, if you like to draw and work with your hands, join an architecture company. Don’t think that being rich is a must; however, if you do feel strongly about earning great sums of money then start your company. There are hundreds of ways to generate vast amounts of money in a field of your interest; don’t restrict yourself to a job that will keep you from doing something you like.

Over here in my medical school, people who are over 40-years-old, just started to study medicine. They started now because they weren’t satisfied with their current jobs. Some of them just wanted a change in their career because they wanted to try something new. My point is, don’t limit yourself to a job you don’t like. If you need the money then keep the job until you have enough money for your financial security to look for a better career.

First of all yes I do admit it and no I’m not afraid to admit it because I’m tech and internet savvy. The internet is so resourceful that you can virtually get anything you want from videos, to music, to free software.
YouTube has been a target for lawsuits by many companies for thousands of reasons which I don’t give a jack about. But YouTube is also the site to watch free movies by parts and to get free mp3s.

1. Go to YouTube.com and get the URL of the video of choice. Let’s choose http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8uPvX2te0I which is the URL for the song A Year Without Rain by Selena Gomez & The Scene. The song is new by the way.
2. Paste the YouTube URL in the URL box and press DOWNLOAD. If the site asks for access of Java applet then say yes or have it installed.
3. Once the site reads the URL and extracts all the videos, choose the “MP4” version, which is usually the highest quality, if not HD.
4. Download the MP4 version.
5. Download this free MP4-to-MP3 software and install it.
6. After installing the software, use it to extract the audio of the downloaded mp4 file to mp3.

And there you have it, you got free mp3s from YouTube. Is this illegal? In my opinion no because I’m not selling it nor am I distributing it. If you want mp3s you have to go through the steps and get them therefore there is nothing illegal about it.

Has anyone told you that you can’t have that hot girl if you’re are guy or you can’t have that hot guy if you’re a girl? Do people around you always put you down because you’re not rich? Do you feel down because you think you cannot manifest your desires because of your lack of wealth? As an average guy like me writing this article, I’m here to tell you YES, you can have what you want in life.

It happened to me and it will happen to you; as a matter of fact it happens to me all the time. It’s all about focus and how and where you want your focus to be. Your mind the greatest thing you have, and your mind is what dictates how you feel and where you want to be in life. If you direct your mind to a certain focus then you will gain that BMW, or that hot girl, or that executive job; it’s all in your mind.
Life is what you want it to be. You are where you are, you are what you are because you put yourself in that position that you are in currently.

How do you focus?
I talk about focus this and focus that but I never got into details of how to focus. This is where I tell you how I focus and how I direct my mind to what I want. Focusing is all about the state of your mind. Let’s say you’re in law school and you’re studying for the bar exam. You’re focusing on what you’re reading because you want to kick ass on the exam. You’re fully concentrated, then all of a sudden your girlfriend calls and starts to argue with you. After 30 minutes of talking and arguing you hang up. Now, you try to continue to study, but you’re too focused on what you argued about with your girlfriend. No matter how much you try you cannot go back, that’s loosing focus. And to gain it back do whatever you can to get your mind back in the game. An example would be to Google videos of litigation lawyers, or watch clips of movies which have trials. The key to focusing is to visualize which helps to gain focus.

Let’s now work with an example of getting that hot girl or hot guy. For my female readers who are down, this is for you. You want a this “single” hot guy you saw, and I quoted on single because I don’t want to get into breaking a current relationship. Anyways, moving on, so you want this hot guy but you think you’re not good looking enough to get him. The main problem in this scenario is that you think you’re not good enough for him, in this case in appearance. First of all you need to change your state of your mind; you need to raise your self-esteem. Everyone has a downside in appearance; even hot girls look bad in some days. If you want to look good then you have to think you look good. Go to a mirror and observe yourself and say to yourself you are beautiful. No one is born ugly, they just grow up ugly, because that’s what they heard from others and they accepted it. As I mentioned before it’s all in the mind.

Years ago I saw a nerdy girl at my college; no guys liked her because she was a bit conservative. She didn’t dress up wearing tight pants, and she didn’t wear any low neck shirts to show her cleavage. As a guy, I didn’t think she was good looking either because she didn’t show any skin. However, one day I sat across from her in the cafeteria, I was bored and my friends were in class so, I had to wait 30 minutes for them to finish class. After finishing my food I looked up and stared at her for a minute. I didn’t find her attractive at first but as I looked carefully at her face I saw her natural beauty come about. And I thought to myself if she dressed up like all the other girls then she would hotter than them. The other girls cover their faces with makeup to create artificial beauty but this girl had natural beauty. If she changed her state of mind to look hot then she would look hot, but she didn’t because it was her choice.

Now let’s get into the internet business; the good stuff. The internet has vast potential to make massive amount of money. Let’s say you want to make some mad money, how are you going to do it. You have to first change the state of your mind and focus on gaining massive amount of money. You have to imagine yourself raking up money and that’s what is the first step. Now the next step is to put your body to work. Research, research, and research; the internet has so many resources that you can find almost anything. However, keep in mind that you have to stay focused. I didn’t make over $25,000 online without staying focused. My main goal was to make money and I did and that’s how you should do it too.

You may be wondering what the hell was this article about; I jumped from one topic to another. However, all those topics were presented here to bring about the understanding of the importance of focusing.

I’m writing this article not to promote AdSense but to show that through constant effort an individual can achieve his or her goal. I’m stubborn and ambitious; my eyes are on a target constantly until I reach it. I didn’t make just $97 just that one day, I made $90 on another day, $88 on another day, and so on.
If you really and truly want something in life, then want it with passion and trust me you will get it. Whatever you want, think about it, talk about it, write about it, and feel as if you have it. One way to feel as if you have it is day dream about it. I often dream about what I want and I feel as if each day I’m getting closer to it.

I started making money from Google AdSense with merely $0.03 per day and it grew exponentially to $1.00 and then $5.00 and onwards up. I made it with an online business I started and the reason my earnings grew because I refused to give up.

Negative obstacles do come into play that could deviate your mind from what you want to achieve, but if you have a hard-core focus then you won’t deviate from your path. When I started my online business I constantly got coding errors and some problem would occur at random times of each month and I had to put in so much effort to keep up with it. Eventually I would lower the error rate and the problems would subside with time. As you can see I put my 100% effort to my online business; I did not just want to run an online business but I talked with others and I constantly thought about money. Eventually I got what I wanted with time.

What about time?
So, what about it? Time is something you cannot control; it is out of your each. Time is the variable which no one can control. I know you have heard the phrase “patience is a virtue” and so you must be patient in order to achieve; don’t rush into things. If you want to reach your goal, and if you can’t reach it right away, then give it time.

Why did I let go of my online business?
If I made $97 in one day with about $60 per day as average, that’s about $1,800 per month, which is not bad. You’re probably thinking I’m an idiot for letting that go, but honestly it’s not what I wanted. I had to deal with the IRS, I had to deal with negative customer emails, and I had to deal with competition, that’s why I just wanted to let it go. I wanted to set my life up with a meaningful career and that’s why I left; afterwards I do have plans to start another online business after I’m settled. I know I could have reach five-figure income with my business but I let it go because I had other plans.
Therefore, I have achieved my goal. Initially I wanted to make good money online and I did; I was satisfied on what I achieved. I did not deviate from my focus and I got what I wanted. I left because I wanted to do something else.

If you have a goal, regardless of the obstacles you encounter, and keep your focus on that goal, then there should be no reason that you cannot reach that goal. You can control every factor of your path to your goal except time. Be patient and stay focused.

One of the most amazing things I’ve seen on the internet is the most simplest ideas generate millions of dollars for individuals who love doing what they do. And people who love to write are the biggest cash cows. Honestly, I hate it when people write just to make money. I am writer myself and yes I admit that I initially started to write to generate money and yes I did generate tens of thousands of dollars. However, the fun of writings and the fun of expressing yourself disappears when one thinks about money.

I was taught that one should work at a job that he/she loves to do. Sometimes I don’t think like that; I believe that one should set a career first regardless of the interest and then he/she should jump into the job of interest. You should always have a backup before you jump into an occupation that is risky. For example a person who loves art should work on getting a career in the healthcare field which is demanding. After the career on the healthcare field is set that person should go to art school to pursue his/her interest in art. However, some people got lucky and they have struck rich in their field of interest. I love reading about these people and how they have set their focus on their field of interest and worked passionately to achieve them. They are who they are because they overcame obstacles that stood in their way.

Some of them are as follows:
Javed Karim (Co-Founder of Youtube) – $50 million
Matt Mullenweg (Founder of WordPress) – $40 million
Mark Zuckerberg (Founder of FaceBook) – $4 Billion
Tom Anderson (Founder of MySpace) – $845 Million

Now the people above just had a simple idea and used the internet as a platform. I hope to achieve that one day. The internet is the biggest market in the world with low to no marginal cost but with high to unlimited marginal profits. Now as I mentioned above, since I wasn’t one of the lucky ones to gain riches online at an early age, I will have to work on a career that will take care of me.

Can the internet make money for everyone?
I’m not going to sugarcoat my answer when I say NO. The internet generates money for individuals who are experts in the online world. The internet is a platform that offers so many tools at one’s disposal. For example, if I needed to convert a video online I just turn to Google and search. Or if I wanted to watch a small clip of a movie I know here to go. It’s only for people who are web savvy.

One of my friends generates about $115 every single day from Google AdSense. Now take $115 and multiply that by 30 which come out to be $3450. Take $3450 and multiply is by 12, it comes up to be $41,400. So he’s making over $40,000 every single year just by sitting around. Along with this he is also working a 9 to 5 job, which is not bad.

I remember when JohnChow.com made the key phrase “Make Money Online” to be his site’s logo he got a lot of hits from Google search results. After that so many other bloggers copied him, especially readers from his site. One thing those bloggers didn’t realize is that you have to be original like John but you can’t be John.

Can you blog to make money?
Honestly, you can; the most simple way to do so is signing up with blogger.com and then adding AdSense ads on it. While at the same time keep on writing new articles and generate the content required for the AdSense ads to pick up the words the display related ads.
Don’t think AdSense is the only way to make money. There are many other ways to generate money online but it takes originality and ingenuity.

As a medical student I need to keep up with medical research to stay updated on what’s going on in the progression of medicine. I read an article that rice diet increases one’s sex drive. The daily diet of Bengalis is rice with some dish; Bengalis have rice with everything from curry fish to aloo borta (mash potatoes with onions and pepper). If you look at Asia as a whole the Chinese also has rice in their diet so that’s why their population boomed. This is an interesting video to promote condom use in Bangladesh. The video has a hot girl who dresses up to meet a man who she probably met online to engage in sex. In my opinion this is actually promoting the Bengali youth to fuck around more.

Ok so, I’m writing this post after over a year, WOW. A lot of things happened in these 18 months. I finished a music video for friends, designed my friend’s site Rongila.com, and I completed 3 semesters of medical school so far Alhumdulillah.

Medical School Experience
Honestly, I have had one of the worst times of my life in medical school. I have never studied as much as I did in medical school. There were days where I only slept for a maximum of 2 hours; there were days when I only went by eating Ramen noodles. The life of a doctor is hard no doubt and it requires so much attention and dedication.

I could not get through medical school this far without the help of my classmates. My classmates are just mad awesome; they helped me out much when it comes to studying and getting me the requires study guides.

I look at myself on what I need to do to stay sane in the upcoming 2.5 years which is what I have left to complete my MD.

The Pre-Med and MD Students
I love to see the students who go out of control here. Over here there is a great line of difference between the studious and party students. I see pre-med students who are straight out of high school and when they party they get fucked like no tomorrow. It is very obvious that these pre-med students never had freedom like this before. Pre-med students never completed college so now they are here with money, from loans or from parents, and they are living by themselves.

After exams I went to a house party. In one room I saw a bunch of my classmates and people from other classes smoking pot and getting high. In the balcony, other people were drinking and one girl was so drunk that she decided to jump off the balcony. The place was on in is not the second floor so if she fell then she would’ve broken some bones, but luckily a friend caught her on time.

Most of the party crowd drink, smoke, have sex with random people because the moms and dads are not here. The funny thing is we just completed Pathology and Microbiology classes in med school so these people know the dangers of sleeping around.

The most I enjoy is seeing student doctors smoking in the parking lot after finishing a lecture on carcinoma (cancer) of the lungs from smoking. In this notorious time of medical school my entertainment is seeing what my classmates do on a day-to-day basis.

The Struggle
I’m struggling and suffering right now because I’m studying medicine but I know it’ll pay off in the future. Some people think about the girls and the money when it comes to becoming a doctor, but me, I just want the prestige and the power to help people.

As you know I haven’t updated this blog for a long time. It’s not because I’m bored of it, I love writing, but that my hands are tied up with a Bengali media project which I’m involved with. I’m one of the producers along with being an actor for the video so it’s consuming a lot of my time. I haven’t been online or checking certain things related to this blog because of the media project. In my small free time I wrote this midsize blog post.

How are you? How was your weekend? May I help you? May I offer a hand with your work? All these questions relate to one thing, politeness. It’s a small and insignificant factor to most of us but in a way it can take you a long way when dealing with certain situations. For example, never ever show rudeness or aggressiveness to waiters who serve your food. College students say “never f*** with the peeps who handle your food” and they are right, you never know who may have spit on your food or rubbed your food with something nasty, just because you were rude to that person.

In my college years I figured out that politeness is hard, yet it pays off greatly; if not right away then in the long run. No matter how bad the situation is, if you keep calm and be polite to your opponent, things will turn out better than if you were not polite to that person. I made a habit of my self of always saying ‘thank you’ or ‘sorry’ for them most little things because it helps my self image.

An example would be the admission counselor of a post-grad school who I called for some information on my admission; let’s say her name was Katie. I called Katie and by hearing how she says hello, she seemed very ominous and frustrated, perhaps after a long day of work. I asked for the status of my application and she said to call back in the afternoon after the computer system is updated. I called back in the afternoon and she told me the status of my application and for that I said ‘thank you so much, I appreciate it’ and right after I said that her tone of voice change from an ominous tone to a positive tone. From that point I knew she felt appreciated for her time to tell me what I needed and she was happy to do so.

Another example would be when someone from a collection agency called me, let’s say his name is Jack, to claim some money from a phone bill. Apparently, the cell phone company sent my last statement, after I cancelled my account, to another house which I don’t live at. After six months they passed it on to the collection agency and I had no clue about it. So this gentleman called me and told me I owe them about $101 I checked with the cell phone company and they said I owed them $81. Obviously the extra $20 is the collection agency’s stupid fees. So when the collection agency’s representative, Jack, told me either I pay on the phone or they’ll report negative information to the credit bureaus. To keep myself form being scammed or have anything type of dispute over me, I asked politely to send me a written statement in the mail of the payment. And because I talked in a polite manner, Jack didn’t verbally abuse me or threatened me in any way. The collection agency didn’t do much as I have not received their documents in the mail nor was my credit damaged.

So you see being polite helps a lot. I only gave you few examples, but there are hundreds of more situation in where being polite keeps your from arguments and out of trouble. My best advice is to stay calm and use subtle language.
