There is No Such Thing as Love at First Sight

April 29th, 2009

I know what you’re thinking, after 15 days of not blogging, I come back and write about this topic. But hey, it’s a topic we all are involved with or we will be involved in; either way it’s a topic we all are affected by. So, read on and think about what I wrote when it comes to real life situations.

Whenever I hear a couple talk about when they met, if they say it was love at first sight, I just laugh in the back of my head. In my opinion, two people cannot fall for each other just by looking at each other’s appearances.

When a guy likes a girl just by looking at her, he’s not in love; instead, one of three things are going on his mind:

  1. Most guys look at the girl they like and think how it would feel when he bangs her in bed. It’s true, but this doesn’t apply to all guys, usually the ones who are players.
  2. Some guys look at a pretty girl and think the girl is the most beautiful girl in the world. In this moment, the guy admires the girl’s beauty and he stares at her over and over again because he is mesmerized by her beauty.
  3. The third type is the rarest type of all, and very rare guys will think this. When a guy looks at a girl he likes, he’ll think what it’ll be like to have a life with her, such as growing old and raising kids with her.

The three things above are called infatuation, which is temporary passion. A guy who is infatuated with a girl does not love the girl, but shows interest in her.

A guy and girl fall in love with each other after getting to know each other. It may take weeks to months, but eventually they will fall for each other. When a girl and a guy talk to each other often, they get to know about each other’s interests and goals. In a slow process, the fire of love evolves.

So, remember that there is no such thing as love at first sight, only infatuation at first sight. However, eventually the infatuation grows to be love.

Is it OK to Record your Life?

April 14th, 2009

The title is meaningful as it sounds; would you feel alright if you had your life recorded? The recording would not be by anyone else but by you on paper. The everyday life events such as who you meet, who was your crush was, what are your thoughts, your goals, etc. You should know by now what I’m leaning towards; a journal.

I thought and figured out that once you write something, a recording of your life, you can look back after a number of years and get ideas for future prospects. There are

You can keep a journal or popularly known as a diary by the following ways:

Book
You can find a journal with dates pre-entered at your local store. You have probably seen the famous “dear journal” or “dear diary” writings in movies. You don’t have to make it like that but this is the one of the most common ways to record your daily thoughts. The con on having a book diary is that it can be misplaced or worse, it can be stolen by someone in your house. If you have personal things in it, which are meant for your eyes only, then it won’t be private anymore.

Online Diary
Yes, you guessed it, a blog. WordPress.com and Blogger.com offers absolute private blogs so only you can see the personal things you have written, things which you don’t want any one to know. The con about this is that the administrators will be able to see it if they decide to find your blog out of the millions of blogs they host on their servers. They may read your personal things, such as your sex experiences or the most embarrassing moment in your life.

Either or works, but in the modern day, I think blogs are easier to write on because you can access the net virtually anywhere, if you are living in the West. So, you don’t have to carry around a book everywhere to write your thoughts; you’ll have a small laptop, an iPhone, or some kind of portable device that lets you access the web wherever you go.

I believe keeping some kind of entry about your daily life is significant. You can actually go back to these writings 5 years from now and teach your kids or 20 years from now and teach your grand children about your past; you’ll have something as a reference.

Since I love writing I do keep entries about my life. I write about my social circle, the people I meet, the people I work with, the people I love, and just everything in general. As you know it’s too personal so, it’s not going to be online.
